SACS® Precede is the interactive modeling and results environment for the SACS suite, developed by Engineering Dynamics, Inc. It streamlines the creation, editing, and verification of 3D structural models for offshore and marine assets, including jackets, topsides, subsea frames, piles, and risers. Engineers can build models with parametric tools and spreadsheet-style editors, define comprehensive environmental and operational load cases, and organize analysis scenarios for in-place, loadout, transportation, dynamic, pushover/collapse, and fatigue studies.
Precede also delivers clear, engineering-ready visualization. Review deformed shapes, stresses, and code-check unity ratios with color contours and filtering, and interrogate members, joints, and connections against industry standards such as API, AISC, and ISO. Built-in model verification highlights connectivity gaps and data inconsistencies before you run analyses, helping reduce iterations and rework. As the pre- and post-processor for SACS, it supports efficient workflows with grouping, scenario management, batch runs, and report-ready graphics—accelerating offshore structural analysis and design while improving confidence in the results.
